This beautiful Victorian home nestled in Glasgow West End had been a very busy family and professional home for decades. We were commissioned to fully renovate the property and create a bespoke bookcase. This quickly mushroomed into a bespoke boot room, utility, some freestanding pieces of furniture and new cabinetry to hide the electric cupboard.
We also manufactured a shoe cabinet with driftwood seating and coat hook storage on the other end of the hallway. The plinth and cornice were designed to match the existing door architrave patterns.
The unsightly downpipe in the hallway has been cleverly re-routed to the library and hidden within the bespoke full height bookcase with a faux door acting as an access panel. The library has been finished in hand painted inframe shaker doors with timber shelving. A mobile drawer unit with leather inserts has been manufactured to match the bookcase. We also designed another freestanding standing bookcase to match the fitted one.
The old press cupboard shelving has been completely revamped with matching timber shelves to coordinate the imposing bookcase.
