Houston heritage home extension and renovation

This project involved a two storey energy efficient extension to accommodate a huge dining and piano room, a living room with country-side views, bespoke steel, glass and wooden stairs leading up to a mezzanine office. The aim was to be as energy self-sufficient as possible. This included heat exchangers between rooms, underfloor heating, solar panels, air source heat pumps, high performance triple glazed doors and windows.

A full rewire and renovation of all existing bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas was also included.

We worked closely with the architect’s design, coordinated all the trades required and also used our in-house team across all areas.

The central feature of the space was a double sided fireplace with stonework to match the original. Our stonemason worked meticulously to achieve this detail.

The client also commissioned us to build the staircase and several areas of bespoke furniture throughout the property. We built their wardrobes, utility, various bits of storage, pantry, drinks cabinet and bookcases.
